1/ We can't include stuff without standard copyright header.
2/ src_unpack is redundant
3/ You should use econf is possible, and use_enable in src_compile
4/ Use dodir instead of mkdir in src_install

Comment 4 Peter Avramucz 2007-08-03 08:27:28 UTC
I think, I've fixed the bugs, however I've just copied the "standard copyright header" from the urls you've given. Hope you'll like this one. ;-)

Upstream of this project looks dead, there haven't been any new releases since December 2007. Does not build out of the box against the current stable version of dev-libs/glib because it attempts to include individual glib header files, which is no longer allowed; this seems to be easily fixable. It also does not build against the current stable version of x11-libs/libnotify because it tries to call notify_notification_new() with too many arguments; the extra argument can of course be easily removed but I do not know what runtime effects it would have. Finally, it seems upstream autoconf scripts are not compatible with modern systems either because a lot of standard X-library symbols end up undefined at link time.

All in all, I would say that unless there is strong user interest in getting this into Portage after all (in which case said user would most likely have to take it upon themselves to revive the upstream), this bug should be closed.

It would appear there is no user demand for this package. Combining this with the aforementioned upstream technical issues, closing the bug.
