just a tracker bug for 2.2 stabilization
I think goes in here... I was updating and got this.. make[4]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4/modules/mappers' make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4/modules/mappers' make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4/modules' make[2]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4/support' make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4/support' make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 !!! nothing to see in your paste unfortunately. you need to find make[1] which caused the error (you only posted make[2]-make[4]). I guess you need to remerge apr/apr-util...
OK so the make[1]doesn't help either? make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/www-servers/apache-2.2.4-r11/work/httpd-2.2.4' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 I'll try remerge apr/apr-util... Thanks :)
Maybe this is related to my problem... http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187538 I also tried unmerging apache and then re-merge - but it doesn't work. Merging without mpm-itk works. So it's just selected the default "prefork"... Now to figure out how to run this as svn/svn - shouldn't be too hard
well, cve 3307 broke nearly all MPMs, will try to fix the prefork based ones at least, but we probably won't stop stabilization because of itk or peruser, since both are unsupported by the apache herd...
Maybe this isn't the correct place to post this, but: It seems your current emerge for 2.2.4-r11 misses an important configuration parameter. There's no Listen directive anywhere. Using the default out-of-the-box configs, the server doesn't respond to any requests. Not even the internal apache2ctl status requests. I needed to manually insert Listen *:80 (or similar) before it started responding.
You need to specify at least one of DEFAULT_VHOST or SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST
I did. APACHE2_OPTS="-D DEFAULT_VHOST -D INFO -D LANGUAGE -D SSL -D SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST -D SUEXEC -D PHP4"
maybe you did not update the config files? # grep ^Listen -r /etc/apache2/ /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/00_default_ssl_vhost.conf:Listen 443 /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/00_default_vhost.conf:Listen 80
Interesting. Here's my results of the grep: lastochka apache2 # grep ^Listen -r . ./vhosts.d/00_default_ssl_vhost.conf:Listen 443 ./httpd.conf:Listen *:80 I did have the SSL one, but the Listen *:80 in httpd.conf I had to add on my own. I am sure I updated the configs, I ran etc-update and remember that I let all of the updates through for apache.
Could it be that there's an issue when DEFAULT_VHOST and SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST are set together?
there is no Listen in httpd.conf, it is in 00_default_vhost.conf, but it should have been updated...
I added the Listen to httpd.conf manually after I couldn't find it anywhere else in the config files (modules and vhosts included). I have now moved the entry manually into 00_default_vhost. At least for me, it didn't come out of the box. I can rebuild apache-2.2.24 to verify and check if the config file gets updated correctly this time or not.
With the rebuild, there were no config files to merge in vhosts (just httpd.conf as I made some other changes in it).
apache2splitlogfile is missing when using 2.2.4-r12 Any ideas why?
(In reply to comment #15) > apache2splitlogfile is missing when using 2.2.4-r12 > > Any ideas why? > apache22t ~ # qlist apache|grep split /usr/sbin/split-logfile /usr/sbin/split-logfile2 (In reply to comment #14) > With the rebuild, there were no config files to merge in vhosts (just > httpd.conf as I made some other changes in it). > you probably need to use "emerge --noconfmem ..."
