While attempting to emerge -uvDN world, portage tries to update esound but it stops during the compilation phase with a make error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge esound-0.2.38 2. 3. Actual Results: make exited with an error Expected Results: Should compile the package perfectly, as far as I know I was running gnome when this occured, as well as mozilla firefox and beagled.
emerge --info output is required. Also, if you are stating that something gives you an error, it would be wise to include the error here. Please reopen when you provide the necessary info.
Guess I was a bit hasty when posting this. Anywho.. http://rafb.net/p/lQEmV691.html for build log http://rafb.net/p/8UrQdJ96.html for emerge --info
Please don't use pastebins for bugs. They become useless in days.

Well you have some sgml nonsense broken/outdated on your system. Either emerge this w/ USE="-doc" or see the other bug for hints. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 128952 ***
Workaround: emerge sgml-common (again) well.. worked for me ^.^
Great, this workaround works for both my gentoo machines too, thanx!
