when i emerge mod_php with apache (not apache2). einfo said that i should add 
"-D PHP" in /etc/conf.d/apache

but it should be "-D PHP4"

mod_php-4.3.1.ebuild as well as its r1 ebuild
location : in pkg_postinst()
