I've had a look at this, currently all the documentation, website and software etc. is in Spanish, which may limit the number of Gentoo users able to use/maintain this in Portage. Also, trayicon.so is compiled for x86 only - it will not run on my Toshiba A100 which is running AMD64 so I'm unable to even test this package. Lastly, there are no links to stable release tarballs on the gna.org site, which are the preferred method of packaging applications for portage - I did find a tarball for the 1.5 release which is at http://static.assamita.net/ToshibaGUI_1.5.tar.gz If the trayicon.so issue was resolved, I'd be able to create an initial ebuild for developers to look at, but from looking at the source all messages for the user are displayed in Spanish with no i18n limiting the reach of this. The home page no longer exists. The project at gna.org is still there but it looks very much like a stub (there isn't even a short description) and there have been no Subversion commits for 8 years. Is there still any interest in having this package added to Portage?
In light of not having received any comments for 2 months, assuming there is no longer any user demand for this package. Closing the bug.
