I'm trying to emerge the flash player plugin and I keep getting errors that the download couldn't be completed, even though it is being completed just fine. When I tell portage to emerge it, this is what I get: >>> Emerging (1 of 1) net-www/netscape-flash-9.0.31.0 to / >>> Resuming download... >>> Downloading 'http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz' --19:38:22-- http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz => `/usr/portage/distfiles/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz' Resolving fpdownload.macromedia.com... 72.247.202.70 Connecting to fpdownload.macromedia.com|72.247.202.70|:80... connected. Couldn't download 'install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz'. Aborting. I think portage expects the file to be larger than it actually is, so once the file is finished downloading, portage aborts installing it because it doesn't think it's been fully downloaded. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge net-www/netscape-flash Actual Results: portage downloads flash player installer entirely, however does not seem to realize it's fully downloaded (stops at 50% of what it thinks it needs to download), and does not continue to install it Expected Results: flash player being installed, hopefully I did have another instance of portage running in another terminal window when I was trying to emerge the flash player, though I wouldn't expect it to affect anything.
net-www/netscape-flash-9.0.31.0 is no longer available. Wait for version 9.0.48.0. See bug 185141.
