This is an updated version the koma-script bundle cause the version included in tetex is rather old. It depends on tetex3 and installs in the gentoo's local texmf tree (/usr/share/texmf-site/) to prevent interfering with the texmf tree of tetex ebuilds.

To to circumvent emerge blocking this ebuild you either have to remove the entry within your architectural profile or run emerge with the "--no-deps". Please refer to the gentoo documentation.

bug 142735 is an update to 20060730 which is equivalent to 2.95b. version 2.97a is the latest stable version (20070307) of koma-script and more recent than 2.95b. The version included in the texmf tree of the latest tetex3 release is koma-script version 20040916. Since 20040916 the koma-script bundle changed significantly. As of May 2006 tetex isn't maintained anymore. There won't be any updates of koma-script within tetex soon.
