The ebuilds for blas-goto should contain the line
PROVIDE="virtual/blas"

since otherwise packages depending on virtual/blas will
emerge blas-atlas

Hi Helmut,

Thanks for the note! We are currently in
the process of creating "new-style" virtuals
for blas/cblas/lapack, i.e., they will get their
very own entry in /usr/portage/virtuals rendering
all PROVIDEs in the ebuilds themselves obsolete.
blas-goto will then become one of the possible 
blas implementations.
I'll leave this bug open until this is done, which will
hopefully be in the not too far future.
