When running firefox-bin or boincmgr (i.e. the 32-bit boinc binary from the official boinc download site) characters are not always properly displayed. (In reply to comment #1) > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 143390 *** Damnit, I just hate the jump-on-next-open-bug-in-the-list feature in Bugzilla; this should have been Bug 174915, not this one.
(In reply to comment #0) > /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-xpm.so > /usr/lib32/pango/1.5.0/modules/pango-basic-fc.so These are definitely installed; you can check yourself if you ls those dirs. Looks like you didn't run etc-update properly after upgrading.
I was able to fix it using the forums. It turned out that /usr/lib32/pango and /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0 symlinked to soem /emul/... dir. I removed those broken symlinks and re-emerged emul-linux-x86-gtk, which fixed the problem.
OK, looks like already fixed.
