Reading the license for pycrypto, this is not just "freedist", this sounds like "nearly publicdomain", "bsd-similar", probably as-is is the correct choice?
ping? anybody feeling responsible? If noone objects, I'll change to as-is.
Hello, The source says it is public-domain. The sourceforge page says it is PYTHON CNRI License. I'd go for public-domain. I'll check with Python Team and change it afterwards, Thanks,
I've sent an email¹ to the pycrypto mailing list asking about the licence. Let's wait for their reply before changing anything. ¹: http://tinyurl.com/6nrffw
There's an upstream bug¹ about the licence issue. ¹: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pycrypto/+bug/260130
PyCrypto's new upstream has disambiguated the license for PyCrypto 2.1 (described in COPYRIGHT file). LICENSE in dev-python/pycrypto-2.1.0_beta1 has been fixed.
