I have this also, on a Core2 Duo system (i.e. also AMD64). The code compiles correctly on x86.
Comment 2 Canal Vorfeed 2007-10-20 20:48:35 UTC
There are two problems with the same test for broken getnameinfo:

1. GCC 4.2.2 will issue a warning for test program and it'll be detected as error. Fix is simple:

2. Test will actually can the getnameinfo and your DNS resolution is misconfigured - it'll fail.

After that heimdal will try to use it's own version of getnameinfo and it'll conflict with glibc's one...
Comment 3 Michael Hammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-14 12:21:09 UTC
We are not going to fix this because we are already working on heimdal-1.2.x - Please use heimdal with our overlay at git://
