Description Boris Petersen 2007-04-14 15:31:43 UTC
mail-client/mutt-1.5.15 -r1 and -r2 fail to build. I suppose it has something to do with sys-libs/db, but I'm not sure. rebuilding db doesn't solve the problem

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge mail-client/mutt-1.5.15-r2
Actual Results:
emerge stops with errors

Expected Results:
mutt should build properly

root@warbird ~ # emerge --info

Comment 5 Fernando J. Pereda (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-14 17:21:54 UTC
Ok, I know what happened here. It is using db-4.2 headers and trying to link with db4.5. configure.ac will probably need patching.

I won't be able to look into this until the next week.

Comment 6 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-15 19:39:40 UTC
Well, this should use db-use.eclass to select the right sys-libs/db version.
Comment 7 Fernando J. Pereda (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-19 13:27:26 UTC
No, it shouldn't use db-use.eclass because that'd mean almost rewriting configure.ac

I need to know what does the following command output in a system that shows this bug:

ls -1d /usr/lib/libdb-4* /usr/include/db4*
