i.e.

emerge --color=no
eupdatedb --nocolor
revdep-rebuild --no-color

What about using conventions for portage & portage tools, so it's easier with the syntax?

May be there ar other differences in the syntax...

emerge supports --no-color now, and esearch is a separate program.
