Please schedule app-admin/cpu for removal. Last upstream release was 2004-01-12, and it has problems with GCC4 and also has problems with new major versions of OpenLDAP. Additionally, upstream is not responsive on their bugtracker, or via email (no response to the ping messages I sent in january 2007 and march 2007).
Was Fabian still interested? (https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142329#c7)
he never got back to me on it, and when I tried to look at cpu today, I found the weirdness with the newer OpenLDAP versions. There are several other apps in the tree that provide the same functionality, incl. the diradm tool that I wrote.
I see no problem in adding the GCC4 patch, but as Robin already said, the tool itself has some problems and is unmaintained upstream.
Okay, treecleaners, vote please. ++

Feel free to punt it.
