Description AJ Armstrong 2003-03-05 22:38:22 UTC
Hi,

Just updated to Portage 2.0.47-r8

When 'emerge -pu --deep world' is executed as root, the following error is thrown:

emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "virutal/python"

Looks like a typo on s/virutal/virtual, but damned if I can find it.

Other options (so far) seem to work.

This may be the result of applying the patch at:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13992

Without checking?

I'd say yes, because the problems go away if you correct the spelling of 'virtual' in /usr/portage/eclass/distutils.eclass

That would, I believe, be the fix.
