Description Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-04 00:27:12 UTC
Still using Manifest1; 1.2.4 has RESTRICT="fetch" for some whacky reason (it's GPL-2), 1.7.3 has pointless pkg_nofetch() but is fetch-unrestricted.

Cool. This used to not be GPL. Thats very good news for the embedded community.
Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-04 01:09:55 UTC
More precisely - the only version available upstream is 1.8.3 (not in portage); 1.7.3 is on Gentoo mirrors, 1.2.4 needs to be removed, not downloadable anywhere.

it's always been GPL-2 code, but upstream didnt allow direct linking to the tarball, you had to click through a form
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-03-25 17:02:22 UTC
fixed in cvs
