Newly installed system, but I can't find the file but have to create it myself. I believe it would be convenient to have some files created with some examples in it. Reproducible: Always

It's easier to just edit a file containing some helpful commented examples, rather than check for the existence of the file, create it, check its ownership and permissions, then have to refresh our memory of the exact syntax.
No, a preinstalled file would _decrease_ user friendliness - for everyone who wants to use a directory instead of a file.

Eh, chances are that if you can't be bothered to read the manpage on the correct syntax, you shouldn't use such stuff at all... ;) The examples are already there.
