Although I already successfully installed kdelibs-3.5.6-r2 within the past day, I wanted to recompile it with the utempter flag enabled. But this time it would not work! It comes up with a number of errors while compiling the libkdesvgicons component. I turned off the utempter flag and the result is the same, so clearly this is not the problem. I have the same problem. It seemed that there is some problem with new version of libart_lgpl. I don't have time to downgrade it and to test with old version, may be few day later.
Downgrading libart_lgpl from 2.3.19 to 2.3.17 worked around the problem.
