Description Víctor Enríquez 2007-02-25 15:41:15 UTC
The result launching quake4 with emul-linux-x86-sdl-10.0 is:

-------- Initializing Sound System ----------
sound system initialized.
---------------------------------------------
--------------- R_InitOpenGL ----------------
Initializing SDL subsystem
Loading GL driver 'libGL.so.1' through SDL
WARNING: SDL_GL_LoadLibrary libGL.so.1 failed: No dynamic GL support in video driver

Initializing SDL subsystem
Loading GL driver 'libGL.so.1' through SDL
WARNING: SDL_GL_LoadLibrary libGL.so.1 failed: No dynamic GL support in video driver

--------------- BSE Shutdown ----------------
---------------------------------------------
WARNING: rvServerScanGUI::Clear() - invalid scanGUI

idRenderSystem::Shutdown()
Sys_Error: Unable to initialize OpenGL

after some "googling" I found that this is related to libsdl (http://www.suseforums.net/lofiversion/index.php/t16277.html) so I downgraded to previous version of emul-linux-x86-sdl and the problem is solved.

Reproducible: Always

it would seem the sdl ./configure is missing --enable-video-opengl. can this really be?
Comment 2 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2007-02-26 10:13:28 UTC
maybe I need more coffee, but what has bug #65270 to do with this?

Can't you see the 1 in front of the 65270? ;)
Comment 4 Víctor Enríquez 2007-02-26 11:51:45 UTC
if it can help you, doom3 and ut2004 works fine with emul-linux-x86-sdl-10.0, only quake4 fails.

That was the case. Version 10.1 should fix this problem, though.
