Description Timmy Douglas 2007-02-17 16:59:22 UTC
I've spend like half of today installing g-wrap, slib, and guile with different use flags and I still can't get gnucash to pass the configure stage. The first time I tried to build gnucash it complained about not having guile built with the regex flag. Then I rebuilt guile with regex, then gnucash complained about not having depricated, then I rebuilt guile with deprecated, and this whole cycle kept going for like 3 more use flags. Finally I get to the point where it needs slib, so I emerege that, blah blah blah. Here is the last error:

checking for g-wrap-wct.h... yes
checking for (g-wrap) guile module... configure: error:

   Cannot find the (g-wrap) guile module.
   Are you sure you have g-wrap compile-time environment installed?

Kindly review http://bugs.gentoo.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_severity and search for duplicates before filing yet another one.

I marked blocker because it keeps me from testing gnucash. If there is a different definition of blocker maybe the webpage you pointed out should be ammended.

same as :
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164974

except I don't see why that got marked fixed.

$ guile -c "(use-modules (ice-9 slib)) (require 'printf)"

then slib and guile get reemerged again but then gnucash complains that guile wasn't built with regex. this is crazy
