I did emerge rsync and now all ebuilds in kde-apps are gone, also this seem to touch some other ebuilds, but I'm now sure how many are gone. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge rsync 2. ls -la /usr/portage/kde-apps/koffice/ 3. wonder where they are Actual Results: empty dir, no .ebuild files. Expected Results: Updated portage tree i guess. kde-libs and kde-i18n are gone too. only kde-base is intact.
re-assigning to kde@gentoo.org. Doubt this is a bug -- looks like things just got moved around a bit. koffice is now in app-office, kdelibs is in kde-base, etc.
just as a follow-up comment, I did verify that these directories are non-existant on rsync1.us.gentoo.org, so if this is a bug, it's not a mirror problem.
Okay, things have just moved a lot. Bug can be closed.
Actually, they moved a year and a half ago. I guess this was your first update in quite a while :-)
Funny that. My latest previous `emerge rsync` was run about 2003.02.15. I'm using gentoo only since New Year, so I couldn't have missed it if it update "year and a half ago".
