Description Sebastian Witt 2007-02-10 17:21:11 UTC
After updating to gcc-4.1.1-r3 g++ crashes immediately with a segmentation fault.

Example 1.:
=========
g++ -c usbuc.cpp
usbuc.cpp:1: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions.
=========

I'm attaching two config.log files: One from updating libusb and one
while trying to emerge ntfs3g, same error here.

I didn't have any problems before updating to gcc-4.1.1-r3.

Comment 3 Sebastian Witt 2007-02-10 17:59:59 UTC
I did some more tests and it seems the cpp segfaults (and not the g++) when run on C++ files:

cpp <somecfile.c>      -> OK
cpp <somecppfile.cpp>  -> Segmentation fault
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-02-10 18:25:30 UTC
so rebuild gcc with -g and try running it through gdb
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-10-07 04:27:54 UTC
try a newer version of gcc
Comment 6 Sebastian Witt 2007-10-07 12:12:32 UTC
4.1.2 works fine
