Emerge halts on missing directory due to bad macro?


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge elfutils
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
Making install in libelf-po

Getting exacly the same error message, when ran with "emerge elfutils".

ebuild /usr/portage/dev-libs/elfutils/elfutils-0.118.ebuild compile

compiles without any problem.

ebuild /usr/portage/dev-libs/elfutils/elfutils-0.118.ebuild install

dies horribly with the problem described by original poster.

0.125 stable on mips.
