Ecletex and eclipse-cdt are masked in packages.mask with the comment "no comp. eclipse-sdk in treee", but there it is in tree (version 3.0 and above). So please unmask these ebuilds as the recommended update-manager-related installation breaks the portage-tree in some manner.

No. It needs =3.0.0* -> not in the tree, nothing to be unmasked here.
