Trying to emerge djbdns, get this error: ... ./compile prot.c ./load rbldns-data cdb.a alloc.a buffer.a unix.a byte.a ./load cachetest cache.o libtai.a buffer.a alloc.a unix.a \ byte.a dns.a gcc: dns.a: No such file or directory make: *** [cachetest] Error 1 make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... !!! ERROR: net-dns/djbdns-1.05-r7 failed. !!! Function src_compile, Line 28, Exitcode 2 !!! emake failed Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge djbdns 2. 3. Actual Results: As in details Expected Results: Correct installation I'd run this twice, with the same error. When I filled this form in, I thought I'd be clever and, for step two of "Steps to reproduce", I thought I'd put "wait twenty seconds". So I did: # time emerge djbdns ...and this time it installed correctly. Strange. please update your system - in special portage emerge -pu world --deep then try again
Will try that if it happens again. As I say, it emerged successfully in the end.
well, since it worked for you, please re-open the bug if you manage to reproduce the bug :)
