Created attachment 109115 [details, diff] patch for glib 2.12.7 that fixes a check failure for bit testing applied unconditionally in a glib-2.12.7 based ebuild and tested in amd64. all 64bit architectures should be affected as well, while 32bit architectures should be safe to apply the patch as well
