After upgrading gcc from 3.5.6 to 4.1.1 doing emerge -eav world as suggested in the upgrade instructions failed on dev-cpp/gtkmm-2.2.12 Since I have a newer version of gtkmm installed, I mistakenly thought I could remove version 2.2.12, not so. The original error seemed to suggest libtools might have been the problem, but running fix_libtools_files.sh did not fix this problem. Could you tell me what's pulling this version of gtkmm on your system? Thanks
(In reply to comment #1) > Could you tell me what's pulling this version of gtkmm on your system? > > Thanks > It looks like it is media-sound/alsa-patch-bay-1.0.0-r2 with gtk flag set. Thanks
Created attachment 110201 [details, diff] gtkmm-2.2.12-gcc41.patch can you test this patch?
(In reply to comment #3) > Created an attachment (id=110201) [edit] > gtkmm-2.2.12-gcc41.patch > > can you test this patch? > Ok, I was finally able to get the patch installed in my local/portage. Everything emerged just fine and I don't see any problems with either the installation or the operation. Thanks
Thx for the patch. I ran into the same problem when I upgraded to gcc 4.1.2. gtkmm-2.2.12 was pulled in by libglademm-2.2.0 and libgnomecanvasmm-2.0.1 in my case.
Confirming bug and that supplied patch works, thanks!
Fixed. Thanks for testing.
