Hi,
Claroline is the best (or at least one of the best) open source tools for e-learning.
http://www.claroline.net/
Fle3 is another elearning program which is already supported by gentoo but Claroline is better.

I do not know if is in your plans to incorporate soon that open soure e-learning tool but I hope so. Mandriva already have it but I do not like that distro.
