noticed in Bug 162396:

before ecompressdir:
/var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/ncurses-5.5-r3/image/usr/share/man/man3/
  flash.3x -> curs_beep.3x

after ecompressdir:
/var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/ncurses-5.5-r3/image/usr/share/man/man3/
  flash.3x -> curs_beep.3x.bz2

the symlink gets updated properly but is itself not renamed
