i think we're beyond having to force everyone to have this search ... no one uses it anyways
actually, there were a number of folk that wanted it tuned slightly and kept. maybe make it configurable?
Well, considering that's an out-of-the-box way to search for unassigned open bugs... I also know about quite a couple of people using it. Anyway, if you decide to drop it, please paste the predefined query in here so that people can re-add it without much experimenting. Thanks.
i use it myself as well, so I'm not in favour of dropping it.
so make it configurable
I'm with vapier on this, I want to be able to disable a query that I never use anyway

Thanks. http://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=exact&email1=bug-wranglers%40gentoo.org It's actually dead-simple: Search for all open bugs where the assignee is bug-wranglers@g.o. Nothing you couldn't reproduce within seconds without even thinking about it.
how about if I move it from the footer to the front page? and then anybod wanting it in their footer should add it themselves.
that'd be useful i think ... new bugzilla is very convenient when it comes to saving searches

It can be disabled now in https://bugs.gentoo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=saved-searches
