Description Daniel Herzog 2007-01-05 08:33:34 UTC
existing file /usr/lib64/libmysqlclient.so is not owned by this package
existing file /usr/lib64/libmysqlclient_r.so is not owned by this package

"equery belongs" says those two files are not belonging to _any_ package which is why i am confused an file this bug actually.
I am sure that i never installed 3rd party softare (as in, not out of the official portage tree) on this box as root and thus never outside of ~

here is an excerpt of what i installed recently (genlop -t mysql):

     Sat Nov 18 10:35:35 2006 >>> dev-db/mysql-5.0.26-r1
merge time: 10 minutes and 54 seconds.

     Thu Nov 23 18:04:57 2006 >>> virtual/mysql-5.0
       merge time: 1 second.

     Wed Jan 3 21:42:18 2007 >>> dev-db/mysql-5.0.26-r1
merge time: 6 minutes and 42 seconds.

     Fri Jan 5 03:28:08 2007 >>> sys-apps/mysql-1.1
       merge time: 3 seconds.

Changing to trivial.
I am unsure how something like this can happen at all since portage actually is supposed to not leave orphan files around.
Maybe it is left over from the installation? Just like /boot/.keep is an orphan? I dont know.

Well, sorry, but we can't fix collisions w/ orphaned files. Reopen if you find out what installed those.
