Freesynd is similar to old dos classic syndicate. In other words syndicate is back :) It is early in the development cycle but works forme ;)

FreeSynd's plan for 1.0 (as far as I talked with the devs) is to become a FOSS engine to play the full original game and of course modify some of the behaviour a bit (e.g. better character and mouse movement). Later on they plan to add extra gems like multiplayer and usermade levels. In 0.1 the first level of the Syndicate is already playable. p.s. you *need* data from the original Syncdicate game to play.
Created attachment 120188 [details] freesynd-0.2.ebuild Version bump.
Paul's freesynd-0.2 ebuild works on amd64 with slight modifiations: modifications I made: * added "~amd64" to KEYWORDS * cleaned up the RDEPEND of the unnecessary emulation clutter, so it looks now like this: --[snip]-- RDEPEND="media-libs/libpng media-libs/libsdl media-libs/sdl-mixer" --[snap]-- With these modifications FreeSynd 0.2 emerges and seems to work normally on amd64.
Could you please add the amd64 support to the ebuild? As described in comment #5 it works.
Created attachment 176385 [details] freesynd-0.2.ebuild I think this bug should be closed - sadly, upstream looks dead. \:
