On http://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html, there's a new version of the driver available. gspcav1 "Generic Softwares Package for Camera Adapters" version 1.00.11 date: 16/12/2006 URL of the tar.gz: http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca50x/Download/gspcav1-20061216.tar.gz In tree, there's a version from 25/09/2006. I was able to build the new version using the 20060925 ebuild.

(In reply to comment #1) > # Mike Doty <kingtaco@gentoo.org> (25 Dec 2006) > # Please use media-video/gspca instead > media-video/gspcav1 > gspca doesn't work and is older. And it's also a less lot work to make gspcav1 use the newer tar.gz.
Ping?

(In reply to comment #7) > (In reply to comment #6) > > You know about what. "About" getting an up to date gspca driver. > > That's what Bug 159125 is about. You know that it was not. It was about a different driver (the v2 version). This bug is about gspcav1, the v1 version of the driver. Anyway, reopening, as gspcav1 is not going to be dumped (per bug #159125 comment #12).
ZOMG, stop the ranting already... Argh.
like I said in the other bug, I made the mistake masking gspcav1. 20070110 is in the tree now.
