Perhaps the --disable-wrapping-as-root flag should be used in configuring the default nano binary that comes with the installer? This way people wouldn't have to constantly invoke nano with -w when they are editing files as root? Or would this confuse developers when they install nano from source and suddenly (if they didn't specify the flag), nano started wrapping as root?
Sounds like a good idea.
Thanks for this. We will have to adjust the installation documents for future releases to just say "nano" instead of "nano -w"
