The program erl_call is very useful and it is often used in scripts (to communicate with running erlang nodes). It is currently located on /usr/lib/erlang/lib/erl_interface-3.5.5.1/bin/erl_call and I think it should be symlinked from /usr/bin/. Other similar tools include run_erl: /usr/bin/run_erl /usr/lib/erlang/bin/run_erl /usr/lib/erlang/erts-5.5.1/bin/run_erl /usr/share/doc/erlang-11.2.1/html/erts-5.5.1/doc/html/run_erl.html /usr/share/man/man1/run_erl.1erl.gz I don't think erl_call is likely to conflict with any other program, so I don't see any strong reason against making the symlink. Thanks.
Would be nice if you actually posted the ebuild name so that I could assign the bug.
Oh! Sorry for missing it, the ebuild is dev-lang/erlang. Thank you.
Reopen.
Fixed in 11.2.1 ebuild, thanks for reporting, start of December will see a new erlang version stable (hopefully, see dependency).
Stable on all relevant arches
