that's a feature dont build uclibc with USE=nls
Ah, ok. But how about doing something smart^(tm), like exiting with an error message, instead of just segfaulting and dying?
Looking a bit closer at the issue, uclibc _is_ built without nls. USE=-iconv appears to avoid the problem, however.
