It's seems the ebuild is missing the following line in DEPEND:

Same here. I add emerge --info for the sake of completeness, but I think the error  in in the ebuild/lack of automake 1.10.

To comment #1: to me it seems that you don't have automake >=1.10, because you have 1.9.6, and 9<10 (and not 96>10).

this is fixed in 0.1.2 which will hit the mirrors soon.
