I'm trying to emerge mplayer-1.0_pre8-r1 from an 'emerge --sync' around 3 or 4 November. Every time I do, it tries to fetch the skin Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 from mplayerhq.hu. Upon fetching the skin, emerge tries to fetch it from another mirror, and another, not actually downloading it (because it's already stored locally). Emerge eventually quits out, saying something to the effect of "unable to download file: already downloaded. Aborted -- nothing to be done." I've deleted Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 from my /distfiles; it just re-downloads it once, and then goes back to the same behavior. I'm guessing it's something to do with the ebuild, and others have had the same problem (see http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3699154.html). thanks! EE
