Description Thomas Cort (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-18 16:30:05 UTC
The Adopt a Developer project uses a web application to keep track of donations and to store information from donors that isn't published on our project page (like their e-mail addresses for example). The web app is currently being hosted by me, but I'd like to move it to Gentoo infra. It requires a secure webserver (https) with php and MySQL. It is very low traffic, just the Adopt-a-Dev project members, and it doesn't use a lot of resources.

The GPL'd application is being developed by me and is based on work done by 2 Gentoo developers (chutzpah and deltacow), myself, and another person. It is still being developed, so it would be really nice if I could be given access to upload files to the server myself so I wouldn't have to bug infra people to do it.

Since the application is GPL'd and used extensively by the Adopt a Developer project, I'd like to share it (maybe some other distro wants to start their own Adopt-a-Dev?). Would it be possible to get a subversion repository to keep track of the code and to make it available to people?

@infra: Is this possible? If so, what is the time frame for setting it up?

I'm the new Adopt-a-dev lead, and like to ask the same.
Thx :)

Kingtaco advised me to add the following request here:
I'd like to get an alias/CNAME for the vhost. (http://adopt-a-dev.gentoo.org if possible).

That i way, i sure can get aad out of its infant shoes :-)
