Description ivo welch 2006-10-16 08:15:03 UTC
latest sync yesterday night. everything compiles fine under 2.6.18. I upgraded to 2.6.19_rc2, and started the ati-drivers build again. now, during the build process, the compiler error is that it cannot find the linux/config.h file, and then there are a whole lot of other compile errors, not too surprising.

sorry, I do not have an emerge --info, because this is now written on another computer. (if important, I will save it, revert to my old kernel, get X going again, and then post it; my guess is that I am not alone, however.)

regards,

/iaw

Patch works for me on ati-drivers-8.30.3-r1 with gentoo-sources-2.6.19 as well.
Comment 7 Gianluca Parmiggiani 2006-12-01 04:28:56 UTC
same problem with gentoo-sources-2.6.19
Comment 8 Yangtse Su 2006-12-01 07:31:57 UTC
sed -i "s:#include <linux/config.h>:#ifndef _LINUX_CONFIG_H\n\
#define _LINUX_CONFIG_H\n\
#include <linux/autoconf.h>\n\
#endif:" *.c

hope this bug be fixed soon.PLZ
Comment 9 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-19 15:17:04 UTC
Jory's patch is correct, assuming you aren't supporting pre-2.6.17 any longer. Please unconditionally apply to stable tree.
Comment 10 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-19 15:40:34 UTC
Removing block, ati-drivers is already broken in stable tree
Comment 11 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-09-04 01:36:44 UTC
Bug about ati-drivers version that doesn't exist any more in the tree -> WONTFIX.
