The dev-perl/gtk-perl-glade have too many problems: - It overwrites a dev-perl/gtk-perl installation, but they aren't mutually exclusive. - Lacks the updates of gtk-perl (version, USE flags) - Pulls the wrong dependency: it doesn't need glade, but libglade-0* - Currently, the only ebuild using dev-perl/gtk-perl-glade is app-misc/bins The two attached patches solves all these problems. gtk-perl-gladesupport-0.7009.patch (against dev-perl/gtk-perl-0.7009-r2.ebuild): - Adds support for the glade USE flag - Pulls libglade-0* as an optional dependency bins-glade-1.1.29.patch (against app-misc/bins-1.1.29.ebuild): - When USE="gtk", checks that dev-perl/gtk-perl was built with glade USE flag After these patches, it would be posible to deprecate dev-perl/gtk-perl-glade. Tested with a stable x86 installation.

This is sadly on hold and on the verge of being closed as gnome-1 is on its way out the building - and with it the ability to use gtk1 (and threfor perl-gtk)
dev-perl/gtk-perl-glade and dev-perl/gtk-perl removed for gnome-1.x removal...
