Description Pascal Poudrier 2006-09-19 09:19:11 UTC
When I execute ROOT=/vserver revdep-rebuild I have the following result :
emerge --oneshot -K =sys-devel/gettext-0.14.5to/vserver =dev-java/sun-jre-bin-1.5.0.06to/vserver =dev-libs/gmp-4.2.1to/vserver

the ROOT prefix is appended to the package name and emerge command failed with the following error

'=sys-devel/gettext-0.14.5to/vserver' is not a valid package atom.
!!! Please check ebuild(5) for full details.
!!! (Did you specify a version but forget to prefix with '='?)

Hi,

I don't know, if this is in any way fixed, but I would like to have the feature to use ROOT with revdep-rebuild. This would be very useful for maintaining small systems like embedded systems, which do not have gcc installed.

Regards
Marc

Hi,

forgot to add, that it would be nice, if revdep-rebuild also supports PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT.

Regards
Marc
