emerge just failed with a ACCESS VIOLATION. Reading the relevant sections of the emerge output, I couldn't find out why it faild. Only by doing non-portage related work, I figured out that I don't have any space left on my partition.
Please inform the user if the reason for failing an emerge is missing space on the device
