Created attachment 115538 [details, diff] sci-misc/pest/files/pest9_makefile.patch Replaces all explicit fortran compilers with FC.
Created attachment 121081 [details] sci-misc/pest-11.2.ebuild Instead of the patch, now make needed edits with 'sed'. Bumped from 9.0 to 11.2 Made the install follow the makefile, instead of using 'dobin'
Created attachment 146353 [details] pest-11.3.ebuild Version bump + some minor changes.
Created attachment 146630 [details] pest-11.3.ebuild Basically now uses 'sed' wisely. Other minor changes to streamline the ebuild.
Now in science overlay.
Reopen to have a place for bug reports.
I tried to compile the package on x86 w/ gcc-4.3.1 and got following error: > ./cppp -DUNIX -DFLUSHFILE slinpos.F slinpos.f > -DUNIX -DFLUSHFILE slinpos.F slinpos.f > UNIX > FLUSHFILE > make: *** No rule to make target `random.o', needed by `randpar'. Stop. > make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... I include logs.

Marek, Thanks for testing. I was able to replicate the bug by setting MAKEOPTS to '-j2'. Just committed ebuild now forces MAKEOPTS to be '-j1'. Please try again at your leisure. Kindest regards, Tim
It works now. Thanks. Please, add ~x86 keyword.
Upstream still exists, but this was dropped from the science overlay: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/sci.git/commit/?id=91750b09c03c5f54728552e41ef3451ada43455c
