Description Thomas Fischer 2006-09-09 13:52:25 UTC
Requesting to add ebuild for kwin-decor-suse2 to Gentoo's portage tree under x11-themes/kwin-decor-suse2.

kwin-decor-suse2 is a window decoration based on the one from SuSE 9.3/10.0/10.1 with small modifications.

Disable Debian logo by default

kwin-decor-suse2 uses a Debian swirl as default image in the titlebar, which will be disabled with this patch, as we are using Gentoo

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug)
'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached
to this bug.
This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the
main tree.
Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us.
We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time.

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Jeremy.

May be this bug should be closed as obsolete?

I have just drop obsolete bug keywords and whiteboard. Maybe some guys from kde-sunset overlay can pick up this?
Comment 6 Thomas Fischer 2012-10-05 17:27:47 UTC
Indeed, this decoration is for KDE 3.5 only and does not support KDE 4. There, I vote for deprecation and kde-sunset.
Comment 7 Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2012-10-07 12:56:31 UTC
Since this is apparently KDE 3.5 only, I do not see any chance of this entering the main tree.

Interested users certainly are still welcome to add it to kde-sunset if they wish.
