Well, looks like you need -march=athlon (or athlon-tbird), NOT -march=athlon-xp.

Well, since it's x11-apps/xkbcomp producing the illegal instructions, you should re-emerge it w/ proper -march, not only this one package. (And note that other packages may be broken as well).
