I have a problem building kmail-3.5.4 It stops at a point in build and allocates memory like crazy. After about 3 hours there was no advance... At the time of the building there was nothing running on the machine... except for "emerge kmail" This started to happen after I upgraded gcc from 3.3 to 4.1 The process that eats that amount of memory(~600MB) is cc1plus... so I would suspect a gcc problem... Everything else has been built just fine.
