dev-embedded/gpsim-0.21.11 must be stabilized because previous versions fails to compile with GCC-4.1.1. This version of gpsim depends on x11-libs/gtk+extra-2.1.1, so it must be stabilized. See bug #146422.
CCing arches that have dev-embedded/gpsim stable. @gnome - if you have any issue w/ stabilization, then speak now, it's been sitting here for almost 3 months without any response. It's blocking bug #146422.
CC arches on 146422, otherwise gpsim will break. Even on non-GCC-4 platforms.
well, i was able to emerge x11-libs/gtk+extra-2.1.1 USE="-debug" on x86 with collision-protect (and test - but this isn't really relevant as the package does not run a test suite). besides of that, i successfully emerged and launched dev-embedded/gpsim-0.21.11-r1 USE="gtk -doc". the following message caught my attention: QA Notice: USE Flag 'doc' not in IUSE for x11-libs/gtk+extra-2.1.1 i can't say more then that, because i don't have a glue about gpsim, sci-visualization/scigraphica does not compile with gtk+extra-2.1.1 and i'm not working with gtk+extra myself.

done on x86
gpsim compiles fine against gtk+extra-2.1.1, but I'm getting some runtime errors. Resizing one of the gpsim windows causes a crash.
Created attachment 103307 [details] backtrace generated by crash when resizing window
ppc stable. If I have also errors with gpsim, it will be mentioned in another bug.
stable on amd64
