Description Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-01 12:35:02 UTC
Hi,

zphoto-1.2-r1 uses the deprecated gtk2 use flag, please remove it.

-r2 should be stabilized then.
Comment 1 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-02 10:43:13 UTC
x86 team: could you remove zphoto-1.2-r1 and stablize -r2?

Stefan/Mamoru, could you please take a look at profiles/package.mask ? :)
I just checked the ebuild, and it has no reason to be masked because of the DEPEND on media-video/avifile (which isn't in the tree anymore).

Please double check the p.mask entry/ebuild and remove it afterwards.
Comment 3 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-06 04:01:55 UTC
lu_zero told me this software is mostly dead upstream, so please readd us when something has to happen on x86.
Comment 4 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-06 10:35:08 UTC
Thanks Chiristian for pointing that out. I removed media-gfx/zphoto from p.mask.
(admittedly zphoto is almost dead in upstream, but I can contact the upstream in person, so I don't think it's a problem to keep it in Portage)

The point of stablizing -r2 and removing -r1 is not the p.mask but gtk2 USE flag. I backported gtk2 change from -r2 to -r1 (so they become identical except for KEYWORDS), so there is no rush to punt -r1 at the moment, but it is not necessary to keep -r1 in our tree once -r2 gets stablized.

Re-adding x86, please stabilize -r2 and drop -r1, there's exactly zero difference between those two ebuilds now except for the keywords.
