Description Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-29 08:46:28 UTC
I think it's time to stabilize ipcad-3.7.

I found that previous version ipcad-3.6.6 does not compiles with the gcc-4.1.x while 3.7 compiles/works fine.

The last changes in ipcad ware done only today so I'll explain them. In the begining of summer I've fixed compilation problem with flex, but during commit $Id: $ cvs keywords were substituted and I haven't notice the problem. Today I've tried to emerge new version and found this problem. Hopefully now I fixed the problem, but as you understand seems that nobody exept me used this ipcad version. So, please, test it as much as possible!

In any way. There are small changes between 3.6.6 and 3.7. And also small changes between 3.7 and current cvs (this changes are in the patch). Yes! 3.7 version is nearly cvs version (because compilation problems with flex were fixed only in cvs!). But you don't need to worry. The patch was disscussed and suggested by upstream developer. He told me that ipcad is stable and new version should be released very soon. But soon was in the begining of summer... And that means that he still have problems with sf.net (no changes in cvs repository also) and we do not need to wait for new version.

Just to be sure. I'll test ipcad for one day in production and then CC arch teams to stabilize. But for now if anybody have objections or comments... Speak!

1) emerges fine
2) passes collision test
3) seems to work
